Christopher Batten

I was born and raised in Detroit, MI, developing an interest in art at the age of four.  Through continued exposure to art I decided this would be my career. In 2000, I took the first step towards achieving that goal.  I completed a year of study at the Columbus College of Art and Design (Columbus, OH), continuing my education at Detroit's College for Creative Studies.  I graduated from the College for Creative Studies, with honors, receiving my BFA in Illustration in May 2006. 

I am currently an Illustrator whose work centers around the use of traditional painting techniques to produce imagery that is vivid and meaningful.  I have done several identity/logo designs for entrepreneurs as well as exhibited at 4731 Gallery (Detroit, MI), Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI) and, the Detroit Public Library.  I've been doing art for practically all my life and with the help of gracious art directors, I'll continue to do so...just kidding...I'll be doing this until my hand falls off.  Thanks for viewing my work!!!
